News update - 3/11/19

Wow. Over two years since my last update. I really need to pay more attention to my blog.

Okay, so. I finally have The Long Road where I want it to be, so I will be sending off to a couple of publishers sometime this week.

The Firefighter and the Marine expansion is coming along nicely. Some of the things I'm adding are Kenny's background story, a glossary of firefighting terms and Steve's background story, as well as new characters Jeff Whitfield, Kenny's older brother, a professional soccer player, Kim Reed, Kenny's older sister, oldest of the Whitfield siblings, a pediatric oncologist, and Riley Whitfield, Kenny's older brother and fraternal twin to Jeff, a professional model/actor/singer/musician.

After many, many months of *grrrr* writer's block, chapter 37 of my Wednesday Brief's story, Evans Woodworking is finally posted.

Heading Down The Long Road (The Long Road series book 4) is still a work in progress, but it's on hold while I do more research into spinal injuries and physical therapies for them.

Initial notes for The Children of the Long Road (book 5) are taking shape. This book revolves around Adam, Kenny, Janita, Janine 3 and new characters Magic, Jake and little Kyle.

Here is a complete list of the Long Road series books, completed, work in progress and planned

The Long Road, book 1, completed
Continuing Down The Long Road, book 2, completed
Aaron's Journey Down The Long Road, book 3, completed
Heading Down The Long Road, book 4, work in progress
The Children Of The Long Road, book 5, planned
The Other Side Of The Long Road (Tommy & Andy's story), book 6, planned
Justin's Travels Down The Long Road (Justin & Tim's story), book 7, planned
New Travelers On The Long Road (Alex and Jayden's story, book 8, planned
The Beginning Of The Long Road (prequel to The Long Road), book 9, planned
The End Of The Long Road (final book in the series), book 10, planned

Needless to say, The Long Road series is a VERY long-term project.

It's been in the back of my mind to expand Handi-Capable into at the very least a novella, but that would be a long way off.

As always, thank you so much for reading my works.

BTW, I'm thinking that once Evans Woodworking is done, the next Wednesday Briefs will focus on the origination of the Timeline Preservation Commission with some of Ryan's earlier missions.

As I've been told many times, Ciao for now!
