News update - 3/11/19

Wow. Over two years since my last update. I really need to pay more attention to my blog.

Okay, so. I finally have The Long Road where I want it to be, so I will be sending off to a couple of publishers sometime this week.

The Firefighter and the Marine expansion is coming along nicely. Some of the things I'm adding are Kenny's background story, a glossary of firefighting terms and Steve's background story, as well as new characters Jeff Whitfield, Kenny's older brother, a professional soccer player, Kim Reed, Kenny's older sister, oldest of the Whitfield siblings, a pediatric oncologist, and Riley Whitfield, Kenny's older brother and fraternal twin to Jeff, a professional model/actor/singer/musician.

After many, many months of *grrrr* writer's block, chapter 37 of my Wednesday Brief's story, Evans Woodworking is finally posted.

Heading Down The Long Road (The Long Road series book 4) is still a work in progress, but it's on hold while I do more research into spinal injuries and physical therapies for them.

Initial notes for The Children of the Long Road (book 5) are taking shape. This book revolves around Adam, Kenny, Janita, Janine 3 and new characters Magic, Jake and little Kyle.

Here is a complete list of the Long Road series books, completed, work in progress and planned

The Long Road, book 1, completed
Continuing Down The Long Road, book 2, completed
Aaron's Journey Down The Long Road, book 3, completed
Heading Down The Long Road, book 4, work in progress
The Children Of The Long Road, book 5, planned
The Other Side Of The Long Road (Tommy & Andy's story), book 6, planned
Justin's Travels Down The Long Road (Justin & Tim's story), book 7, planned
New Travelers On The Long Road (Alex and Jayden's story, book 8, planned
The Beginning Of The Long Road (prequel to The Long Road), book 9, planned
The End Of The Long Road (final book in the series), book 10, planned

Needless to say, The Long Road series is a VERY long-term project.

It's been in the back of my mind to expand Handi-Capable into at the very least a novella, but that would be a long way off.

As always, thank you so much for reading my works.

BTW, I'm thinking that once Evans Woodworking is done, the next Wednesday Briefs will focus on the origination of the Timeline Preservation Commission with some of Ryan's earlier missions.

As I've been told many times, Ciao for now!

Latest news 3/18/17

Wow, I can't believe it's been a year and a half since I've posted here. *bitch slaps myself*

Okay, so here's what's happening.

My publisher, Wayward Ink Publishing is no longer in the publishing business so both my publishing contracts have been canceled and all rights and cover art have reverted back to me, which means at this time The Long Road will not be published until I can find a new publisher.

Over the next month or so I will repost the original manuscript. I will finish the edits that my awesome editor Lyndsey has suggested. Eventually I will try to find a new publisher for it.

In the meantime, I will be expanding my previously published short story The Firefighter and The Marine (published in the Men In Uniform anthology from Wayward Ink Publishing) into a full length novel.

To be completely honest, I've been struggling with the edits on The Long Road, not that they were difficult, but I couldn't fully focus on it. The reason for that is because too many plot bunnies and stuff for The Firefighter and The Marine have been pulling my attention away.

This is not to say that The Long Road is dead. Simply on haitus.

10/10 update

I really need to update this more often!

Heading Down The Long Road (book 4 in The Long Road series) is moving along. Chapter 19 has been posted and I'm currently working on chapter 20.

In my Wednesday Brief story, Evan's Woodworking, which is a prequel to Love Across Time the characters have hit a rough patch which is going to take a lot of courage and patience to get them through.

A new short story, The Firefighter and the Marine, will be appearing in the Men In Uniform anthology coming 12/17 from Wayward Ink Publishing.

5/12 Update

As I stated in my earlier update, Heading Down The Long Road is moving along. Chapter 15 has been posted and I'm currently working on chapter 16.

I've also created a new blog featuring a series of models, I believe, that closely resemble how the characters look in my mind. You can find it here.

My former Wednesday Brief story, Love Across Time has been given it's own menu button. I have started a new Wednesday Brief story, Evan's Woodworking, which is a prequel to Love Across Time where we meet Ethan and his brothers and sister and learn a little about their backgrounds.

Update

Wow, I can't believe I actually forgot about updating this blog.

My Wednesday Briefs story, Love Across Time, is finished. I may end up expanding it and polishing it up for submitting to a publisher. This may or may not happen... I have written a Christmas story, Love Across Time - Recovering Lost Traditions which may or may not get a sequel.

Work is progressing slowly on Heading Down The Long Road, but I have more time now so I can really dig into it and get it finished.

In my last post I had mentioned working on a Gay Pride flash (story of 500-1000 words). It's called Handi-capable and it takes placed on a gay cruise. As with Love Across Time, I may expand and polish it for possible publication.

What I am currently working on

I currently have several projects in the works, and several more planned.

I'm also working on the 4th book in The Long Road series, Heading Down The Long Road.

I have several more books planned for The Long Road series:
The Other Side of The Long Road (book 5)
Children of The Long Road (book 6)
Justin's Travels Down The Long Road (book 7)
Exploring The Long Road (book 8)
The Beginning of The Long Road (book 9)
The End of The Long Road (book 10)

These are in the preliminary idea stages and I cannot say when I will start working on them for sure.

I also might do another time travel book, a kind-of follow up to Love Across Time, making it into a series. Who knows? It's all up to my Muse.

I will post updates here as they happen.
